Anu Joseph published his first set of poems when he was 12. Many short stories and essays later, he joined Christ College, Bangalore to pursue a degree in Journalism. A chance stint as a trainee copywriter in 1999 made him change his plans of becoming a cricket journalist. Soon, he was writing copy for brands like Lee, Arrow and Britannia at Grey Worldwide, Bangalore.

An exchange programme brought him to Grey Mumbai, where he met Sajan Raj Kurup. Four years later, in 2007, when Raj founded Creativeland, Anu was part of the founding team as creative director.

The last nine years, according to him, have been ‘one awesome ride’. Over the years, Anu has worked on brands like Frooti, Audi, Micromax, United Colors of Benetton, Appy Fizz, Hippo, Deutsche Bank, Cinthol, Godrej Expert, Medimix, Kinetic to name a few. His work has been awarded at both International and Indian shows, and he has been on awards juries often.
