Designer, Johnson Banks
Leanne has split her career so far between the UK’s two major design hubs, Manchester and London, where she has created and developed brands for some of the world’s most prominent organisations.
In Manchester, where she worked for True North, her clients included The National Trust, the Wellcome Collection and the Royal Mail. Since joining Johnson Banks in London she has continued to make her mark on a series of projects in the arts, culture, education and not-for-profit sectors.
While at Johnson Banks her projects have included the global rebrand of the nutrition organisation Action Against Hunger, the rebrand of the world-renowned internet pioneer, Mozilla, as well as contributing to the multi-award winning ‘Dear World… Yours, Cambridge’ campaign for The University of Cambridge.
Leanne’s work has been recognised at D&AD, the Design Week Awards, the Brand Impact Awards and by Creative Review. She is a passionate advocate for design education and has set briefs for the Roses Student Awards, is a guest lecturer and visiting tutor at The University of Lincoln, as well as a visiting tutor on the Branding course at the London College of Communication, UAL.
In her spare time, she finds inspiration in the unpredictable and eclectic, and pushes the boundaries of experimental design within the traditional printing processes of letterpress and screen printing.
