Founder & Creative Director of Studiomars
An alumna of Sir J.J. Institute of Applied Arts, Mumbai; Shobhana is the co-founder and Creative Director of Studio Mars, a leading multi-disciplinary design firm in Pune. Renowned for a proficiency in integrating multi-dimensional platforms across Brand, Spatial and Digital medias.
A designer by profession yet with a strong architectural family background, her designs combine the clean solidity of architecture to be interestingly complemented by the unpredictable fluid spaces with graphics and new technologies in temporary structures. Under her creative leadership Studio Mars has partnered many international and national brands to create award winning work and holistic brand experiences.
Studiomars has set global benchmarks in the field of Spatial design, by using green methodologies and material, reducing wastage, weaving in form, function and communication innovatively in their unique exhibitions and art installations.
Shobhana is also the founding member of the ArtPune consortium, an initiative to integrate Design, Art and Architecture to enhance and preserve the cultural heritage of Pune. She disseminates her unified design thinking ethos on how design can impact lives and our society by publishing articles and through visiting lectures at art and architecture colleges and as a jury member.
Recently was awarded a ‘Woman Design Entrepreneur’ award in May 2017 in Delhi and felicitated in Pune for her contribution in the field of design.
