Kyoorius Young Blood tasks creatives under 28 years to work on industry standard briefs set by global as well as local brands and agencies. Winning a Kyoorius Young Blood competition is an instant validation of talent. Eventually the Kyoorius Young Blood programme aims to be more than just a collection of winning aspirants. It aims to build a community platform that showcases rebels and prodigies, unsung heroes and the rising stars of tomorrow, together.

The winning entry receives the Red Elephant and a five-day trip to the London Design Festival 2020. And we’re not done just yet.

After you’ve picked up your trophy at the Kyoorius Awards night, we will publish the Kyoorius Awards Annual, to document and showcase the works of winners and finalists. The Kyoorius Awards Annual is distributed to over 5000 corporates, design studios and advertising agencies across India, providing an invaluable and unrivalled source of creative inspiration to many.     Founder & Creative Director, Beyondesign

    Bhavika Shah is the Founder & Creative Director of Beyondesign, a leading design studio based in Mumbai. A vetran in the industry with more than 18 years of experience, she has a Bachelors Degree from Maharaja Sayajirao University and a Masters in Design from Savannah College of Art and Design, USA. Having taught courses in branding and colour in some of India’s top art schools, like Shrishti Bangalore and ISDI Mumbai, she has also been a speaker at the Printweek NPES conference on the design trends panel and a judge at the Printweek India awards. Bhavika started beyondesign from her bedroom in 2006 and quickly moved on to establish her dynamic, all-girls team, growing one client at a time purely on the merit of recommendations. "Be your own design" is the thought behind the name, which is a philosophy the studio has followed all through. They focus on the bigger picture and the smallest detail and strongly believe that building profitable and meaningful brand identities revolves around minimal, functional and meaningful design. Their designs for logos, packaging or UI, exude relatability and relevance. It is no surprise therefore, that the company has serviced over 500 clients in multiple sectors including law, finance, NGOs, FMCG, beauty and Pharma. They have also become the ‘go-to’ agency for the biggest names in hospitality, servicing brands like St. Regis (formerly Palladium Hotel) and Renaissance for over half a decade and now the IHCL Group (Taj Hotels) and the J.W. Marriott Hotel. India and Indian design has always been the core inspiration for Bhavika, as she strongly believes that India has a strong design aesthetic inspired by vibrant colours, arts and crafts, that can be channeled into an international look and feel. Very much an involved mother, avid traveller and a constant design innovator, Bhavika pushes the boundaries of design and seeks inspiration from everyday everyday sources and meaningful design.

    Head Of Creative, Digitas India

    As Head Of Creative for Digitas India, Mark leads a team of over 60 creatives across 3 cities. Based in Mumbai, he partners with creative leads in Delhi and Bangalore to drive Digitas’ ‘Connected Creative’ agenda - blending data, technology and creative to deliver compelling brand stories and experiences across platforms and formats. He's also a member of Digitas' Global Creative Capabilities Committee. Mark’s creative journey has taken him across geographies (India, Singapore, Australia) and verticals, with work spanning multi-national and local brands. From Jeep, Puma, Beiersdorf, Nestle, TVS Motors, AB InBev (Budweiser), Unilever and OCBC Bank, to the Tata and Godrej Groups, and Viacom 18 (VOOT). Whether it’s a multi-platform experience that teaches soft skills to India’s first-jobbers for Unilever, or creating an imaginary battery-charging SIM for India’s fastest growing telecom, Mark enjoys solving complex marketing challenges with data and technology-driven creative. Mark was also an integral part of the team that conceived and developed India's first browser-based virtual world for the $3.3bn Godrej Group. Besides picking up Aussie slang and Singapore street food, Mark has had his work recognised at multiple international and national award shows, including The One Show, The Clios, AWARD and the Caxtons. He's also the recipient of the ‘Dancing Partner and Handyman of the Year’ award from his 9-year old daughter. Which is, by far, his proudest achievement.

    PG Aditiya is the ECD @ Dentsu Webchutney, leading the creative teams that handle the charter for India’s buzziest technology and consumer brands like Flipkart, Google, UBER, Swiggy, IKEA, WeWork and Airtel. His agency’s work for Flipkart & Swiggy this year led Webchutney’s tallies at Kyoorius & Cannes Lions 2019- helping the agency emerge as the most awarded Indian agency at both festivals. To continue learning about advertising, he teaches it as well at MICA (Ahmedabad) and erstwhile at Christ University, Symbiosis and XIC among others.

    Founder Director, Leaf Design

    Since founding Leaf Design in 2002, Sumit has been leading the strategic business initiatives for the company. He has been connected with many aspects of the business, including brand and business strategy as well as directing project teams in the development of design-intensive services and social innovations. Prior to Leaf, he led the Experience Design (XD) teams at TBWA Interactive and Euro RSCG. He also held a key creative position at Rediff.com, as part of a founding member of the digital product development team, where he worked with the veteran advertising professional and writer the late Anvar Alikhan. For over two decades, he has worked extensively across a wide range of sectors including infrastructure, healthcare, finance, retail, hospitality, service industry, and consumer-facing markets. He holds a master degree in Communication Design from the National Institute of Design (NID) in Ahmedabad. Considering his interest and passion for teaching, it is possible that you may find him more often at the design schools and forums, an extension of his continued learning environments.

    A two-time Cannes Gold Lion winner, Vishnu Srivatsav, is in charge of the creative output of the agency’s robust client roster including 7Up, Mirinda, USL- Diageo, Van Huesen, Peter England, Cycle Agarbathies, Ujjivan and many more. With experience of over fifteen years, Vishnu began his career with RK Swamy BBDO and has also worked with leading creative agencies including FCB Ulka and Grey Worldwide. During his 12-year long stint at Grey, he worked in every single office of the agency in India, collecting along the way, valuable experiences, businesses and of course metals from almost all the major local, regional and global award shows. Vishnu has been involved in creating brand building campaigns across categories like Automobile, Telecom, FMCG, Retail, Lifestyle, Fashion and IT. Some of the world-renowned brands that he has worked with include Gillette, DHL, Fiat Punto, Honda Brio, Duracell, Killer Jeans, Indian Oil, Britannia, Bajaj Allianz Insurance, Dabur, Bharti Axa Insurance, Reliance Mobile, Intex, National Geographic Channel, Fox Traveller, Aircel Cellular, Lee Jeans, 3M, Dell and TimesPro. When can I start working on my entries?

You can start working on your entry from today. All information pertaining to the briefs is available along with a detailed submission guide and useful information such as logos and other references.

When can I submit my entries?

While you can start working on your entries before hand, submissions on the entry site begins on 4 July 2019.

What is the last date for submission?

The deadline for submitting online entries is 30 August 2019. Relevant physical materials must be received on or before 30 August 2019 to be accepted into the awards.

Yes. The Kyoorius Young Blood Awards are open to all students – studying any subject or specialty.

Can we enter as a group or team?

Yes. Up to two people can work together and enter as a team. Everyone on the team must meet the eligibility criteria.

Can I team up with friends from other universities/ agencies / companies? Or those who have already graduated?

Yes, you can enter with anyone who’s eligible, even if they don’t study at the same university/ college/ company as you. Students and non-students can work together too.

I am an Indian citizen but study abroad. Can I enter?

Is there a limit to how many entries one can enter?

No. You can enter as many entries as you like.

Can I enter my own work or one of my school projects?

No. Entries are only accepted in response to one of the ten briefs available.

I’m a student but I’ve done a professional project. Where do I submit this?

Results & Winnings

How will I know if I’ve been nominated?

All nominations will be announced via awards.kyoorius.com by the second week of September 2019.

When will I know if I’ve won?

All award winners will be announced at the awards ceremony at the Kyoorius Design Awards Night held in Goa on 21 September 2019.

What will I win?

– A gorgeous Red Elephant which you pick up at the Kyoorius Awards Night.

All jury members will gather in India for the jury session to review, discuss and elect the best of the best over three intensive days. All voting is private, never by a show of hands.

During the judging process, the jury will base their decision on three criteria, reviewing if the entry is

  • Well-Executed

  • Answers the Brief

For briefs relating to craft, work is judged first on the strength of the craft, then on how it contributes to the success of the idea.
