Director, Chief Creative Officer, Publicis South Asia
Engineering college dropout. English Lit grad. Purveyor of f-bombs. Lazy writer. Lazy, period. Bobby’s journey in advertising is like a blind date that led into a marriage. The relationship has lasted 23 years and divorce isn’t on the cards. By all means, advertising has been good to Bobby. He got to put his creative fingerprints on some of the world’s best-known brands. And work with and learn from many creative legends, with great agencies in Mumbai, New York and Chicago. He was the Chief Creative Officer at JWT, where he made a marked difference to the creative product on some of the agency’s biggest brands. Prior to that he spent 4 years as the CCO of DDB Mudra Group. He helped transform the agency into, arguably, one of the hottest creative shops in the country.
For a guy who almost flunked math, his stats are not bad. He has racked-up over 500 local and international awards, in both creative as well as effectiveness shows. He was Campaign Asia’s Creative Person of the Year (2011) for India and South Asia. Today he is ranked amongst the 5 most influential and creative people in Indian advertising, by the Economic Times.
