Group Executive Creative Director, DDB Group Singapore
Before Joji stumbled into advertising, he was a teacher, a journalist and a short story writer. He’s spent over 20 years with some of the biggest and best agencies in India and Singapore; agencies like FCB, Ogilvy, JWT, BBDO and DDB. He’s been the Group Executive Creative Director of DDB for the last six years. He currently overseas an integrated creative department of 140 creative directors, copywriters, art directors, digital designers and technologists. Since he took over, DDB Group Singapore has become the most awarded Singaporean agency at Cannes, D&AD, Spikes, AdFest and Digital Media Awards six years in the running. DDB Group was also Agency of the Year at the Marketing Awards, at the Singapore Hall of Fame Awards and by Campaign Magazine.
Joji himself has been named Singapore’s Most Influential Creative Director by the Institute of Advertising Singapore and South East Asia’s Creative Person of the Year by Campaign two years in a row. He was the Chairman of Award School in 2012 and chaired the Singapore Creative Circle Awards in 2013. He also lectures at well-known universities in Singapore. Joji has judged at Cannes, Spikes, AdFest and the Creative Circle Awards.
