Brief | Painful People is an open rant against society’s misfits, albeit in a humorously sarcastic tone. The copy needed to reflect the cheeky nature of Filter Press publications.
Solution |
The tone of the entire book was written in the manner of angry letters, addressed to each ‘offender’. As an illustrated book, the writing needed to seamlessly blend with the images as a singular form of communication. Hence the writing is witty and satirical. Every element, right down to the cover copy succinctly captured the book’s tonality.
