Gigi Lee

Gigi started as a designer. She moved on to art direction and then back to design. She has applied her craft to local and regional accounts, winning and handling brands like Tiger Beer, Kraft, P&G, Toyota, Lexus, Colgate, Campbell’s, KFC, telcos, television networks, and more.

She’s been with some of the most awarded agencies in town and won her share of metals: D&AD, ADC, Cannes, Clio, Spikes, AdStars, AdFest, One Show, London International Awards, New York Fest, ANDY, just to name a few.

After 10 long years, Gigi returns to her roots at Y&R Malaysia. As Executive Creative Director, she won the local Kancil awards’ Best of Show, and the office’s first ever Agency of the Year award. Campaign Magazine named her Asia’s third most awarded art director, and in 2012, The Big Won Report put the humble Malaysian office at world’s 19th most creative agency. In 2013, Gigi was appointed jury president at the local Kancil awards and was shortlisted for South East Asian Creative of the Year by Campaign Brief. 2015 had Gigi placed 12th on the Big Won report for ECDs.

All this in her first 3 years leading the department. Gigi credits all this to her young talented team and today works with like-minded people around the region to seek out new ideas and experiences. That is, when she’s not busy scouring public squares and hidden nooks for designy items, or doing the jury rounds at Cannes, Clio, Spikes, LIA, Andys, New York Fest,
AdStars, Cresta, Kidlat and D&AD. For now.
