Joshua Breidenbach

Joshua is a designer and creative director, as well as co-founder of Rice Creative, a Vietnam based branding & creative agency. Rice Creative has gained an international reputation in little over 4 years for developing powerful startup brands such as Marou Chocolate, as well as creating effective, award winning creative experiences for international giants, such as Coca-cola and UNICEF.

Rice Creative helps to establish Vietnam as a budding creative capital. Rice creative have won international recognition from Pentawards, A’Design Award, Graphis, and most recently an IDA award for “Graphic Design of the Year for UNICEF Vietnam. Critical acclaim, for Rice work can be found in Wallpaper* UK, BRAIN Japan, Monocle, IdN, Design Bureau, as well as a number of internationally published books on design and branding.

Joshua began his career at global branding powerhouse, Landor Associates, where he quickly became involved in a multitude of branding and packaging assignments for Multi-national giants such as P&G. Joshua was nominated to brand some of Landor’s internal initiatives from the largest Landor office in the United States.

Seeking change and challenge, Joshua moved to Asia 10 years ago, accepting an Art Director position at Lowe & Partners Vietnam. There he developed integrated campaigns for accounts including UNILEVER and Nescafé. After a year stint in Bangkok, Joshua built for Lowe Vietnam, a new branding & design department. Soon, his ambition was set on creating world-class tailored creative solutions for emerging brands, visionary companies and interesting causes. A drive to offer this new set of clients world-class creative solutions led Joshua to pursue his own multi-disciplinary practice. He departed to co-found Rice Creative. Apart from his role as Creative Director at Rice Creative, Joshua has set up a lifestyle product brand called UNITE Design with his wife in Vietnam.

Joshua studied for a time at the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning before graduating from the Art Academy of Cincinnati.
