The director at 3:16, Sendil Kumar, wanted to communicate two things: first, that as a transformed ad copywriter himself, he believes that the strength of an idea is in its journey from paper to possibility; second, that he is a firm believer of technology, and the rigor of old school. |

To match the requirements, and reflect Sendil’s complex, off-beat personality, we decided to throw together virtues of nostalgia, the grit of machinery, a bit of cutting edge, a hint of irony, and a sense of wide-eyed wonder. Gears turned in our heads, and we found that Steampunk was the spot-on perfect expression of eccentricity, and we mounted it on a new-age parallax-scroll website. |
