Co-Founder, Taproot


Agnello Dias has spent two decades in the Indian advertising industry working on a host of major Indian and international brands.

He has been AAAI Copywriter of the Year, NDTV’s Creative Director of the Year in and ranks among the top four Indian creative personalities in local and international rankings. He also led Leo Burnett India to its first Agency of the Year recognition in the global LB network.

Besides local award shows, his name has featured multiple times in award books like The New York Festivals, The London International Advertising Awards, Australian AWARD, The One Show, Clio, Cannes, D&AD and Adfest, among others.

In 2007 he made Indian advertising history by winning the country’s first ever Grand Prix and Titanium/Integrated lion, leading JWT to the best ever performance by an Indian advertising agency at the festival besides going on to win multiple Grand Prix’ at Spikes for his other work

In 2008 he left JWT India as National Chief Creative Officer as co-founder of Taproot India which was soon ranked by Cannes among the world’s top 20 independent agencies besides being crowned Asia-Pacific agency of the year. In 2013 Taproot India also became the Asia-Pacific Agency of the Year at Singapore’s Spikes Awards beating Dentsu Tokyo and Leo Burnett Sydney in the top 3.

In 2011 he was conferred the Communicator of the Decade award by the Association of Business Communicators of India. In 2012, he was ranked among the World’s 100 most Creative People by the US-based Fast Company Magazine.
