mike-florenceKartik Sharma is the Managing Director of Maxus, South Asia, the “most dominant” media agency (in India) fifth year in a row as per independent media audit agency RECMA.

Kartik started his career in 1992 working with Ogilvy in their client servicing department and later he went on to do his MBA from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies. On completing his MBA in 1995, Kartik began his career with HTA as a Media Planner on the Unilever Business. He moved to Lintas as Channel Planning Director from 1997, where he continued to work on several Unilever brands, in addition to handling clients like Bajaj Auto, Raymonds etc.

In 2000 Kartik joined Mindshare where he was Planning Director from 2000-03. In 2003 Kartik went on to join Madison to head their research and analytics division Madison Media Research Center. In 2007, Kartik joined Maxus to head the Western region operation based out of Mumbai. He has been instrumental in the success of the agency and worked across key client relationships including Vodafone, L’Oreal, Tata Sky, IPL to name a few.

Kartik is a strong leader with reputation for building excellent client relationship and highly motivated media team.
