Brief | As part of the rebrand for EVC, UMG was seeking a complete redesign of EVC’s logo. The brief was to create a distinctive logomark that appeals to young music festival goers. The logo needed to work well across yearly themes used by the festival and stand as a symbol for “contemporary tribe” & “sense of community” that were established as the backbone of the new identity developed by the studio. | |||

To suggest a sense of ‘community’, the logo drew inspiration from ancient tribe symbols, pictograms & alchemical motifs to create a unique mark that urges the audience into a world of the strange & unexpected yet alluring. The logo is entirely typographical, constructed only using letters E, V, C and a dot, to create a unique symbol that was used across all festival communication. |
