Entrant Tsk Design
Brief MAP’s collection spans Indian art, photography, textiles & design from pre-modern to contemporary. MAP retraces & maps relationships between 6 artistic disciplines breaking away from older schools of categorization, striving towards newer narratives. The brief was to create an identity that reflects this ethos; is vibrant & approachable; is culturally relevant while working in the global context.
Solution
The identity is dynamic, allowing creative interpretation & is distinct. Primary Mark A 6 sided M built on a hexagonal grid, 1 for each of 6 disciplines. Secondary Language A set of widgets created by redrawing the lines of M.Redrawing the Lines reflects MAP’s cross-disciplinary approach. Colors An effusive yet balanced palette, inspired by visual experiences from across India, gives a unique context.
