Senior Partner, Alok Nanda & Company
As it often happens, Radha’s foray into advertising wasn’t planned either.
She ditched a Masters degree in Industrial Design at IIT Powaii to try her hand at advertising. That was about 20 years ago.
Radha learnt her ropes at Contract Advertising, New Delhi, a revered award-winning agency of its time. That was followed by a move to Enterprise Nexus, then headed by Mohammed Khan, one of the finest writers Indian advertising has produced. Radha worked closely with Khan on brands like Dabur and Sony.
Post Enterprise, she moved to Mumbai to work with Elsie Nanji at Ambience Publicis. The next few years saw her flourish with lifestyle and fashion brands like Lakme (HLL), P&G, Raymonds, Atmosphere and many more.
Soon after, Radha took an hiatus from mainstream advertising to join Condé Nast India as Creative Director for one of the most reputed fashion brands to be launched on Indian shores – the international fashion Bible, Vogue. Additionally, here at Condé Nast India she also worked on some of the finest luxury names like The LVMH group, DeBeers, Diageo and many more.
Currently she is building on her experience at Alok Nanda and Company as Senior Partner with Alok Nanda for almost a decade. She also heads the experience design vertical SPACE! at Alok Nanda and Company which specialises in creating interactive spaces.
Her work has been instrumental in transforming Lodha Group into a premium luxury real estate brand in India and UK.
She’s been fortunate to work with some of the biggest names in fashion and interiors in the international market like Georgio Armani, Philip Starck, Ken Smith to name a few. Her other clients include the Taj Group, Diageo, Condé Nast Traveller India, Forbes Magazine, Art India, Sarda Farms, to name a few.
Having learnt from the finest and being stubborn about working with only the best, Radha’s skills as an Art Director and vision as a Creative Director has benefitted a range of categories like Lifestyle, Beauty, Fashion, Luxury, Real Estate and Hospitality.
Her advertising experience overlaps with her private passion for architecture and all things beautiful. So when she’s not dressing up brands, she’s busy designing her 2 homes in Goa and one in the quiet Himalayan foothills.
