Description | The challenge was to make Burma Burma stand out and appeal to people who are spoilt for choice when it comes to dining out. To create a distinctive identity, we used one of Burma’s traditional symbols, the Burmese doll. The Burmese doll is a unique tumbling toy, which always bounces back when hit. And interestingly, this doll always comes with a pair. Since the restaurant was also owned by two young entrepreneurs, we felt it was apt. We used two different art styles in one logo, both with their origins in Burma. The traditional style was complemented by modern Longyi patterns, to create an identity that signified an eatery both steeped in culture and dabbling in the new. |
