Since 1995, nearly 3 Million Indian farmers have ended their lives. One of the reasons is weather uncertainty, due to which, the crop gets destroyed pushing the farmer into debt & poverty. But, sadly, a farmer’s plight goes unheard, unspoken and unaddressed. Skymet Weather wanted to spread awareness about how the free and easy availability of accurate weather forecast can make a difference. |

Over 58% of Indian rural households depend on agriculture.Things can change if they could access freely available accurate weather forecast and plan crop cultivation. But, most of the farmers aren’t well-educated or tech-abled so they can’t help themselves. So, to bring a change in a diverse country like India, it was pertinent that people start seeing helping farmers as their own responsibility. |
